This policy explains what personal data STILED collects, why, and what your rights are. STILED is operated by Varvara Kozlova, Torgauer Straße 63, 12627, Germany ("we"). Contact: stiled.team@gmail.com.
Account data — username, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself). Used to create and operate your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Style profile — your quiz answers (style preferences, budget range, fit, colour preferences, shopping category) and, if you choose, a profile picture. Used solely to personalize your recommendations. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Favourites — items you save, so you can find them again. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Technical data — our hosting providers automatically process IP addresses and technical logs to deliver the site securely. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not sell your data, run advertising trackers, or send marketing emails.
STILED uses your browser's local storage to remember your quiz results and favourites on your device — including if you use STILED without an account. This data stays in your browser and can be removed by clearing your browser data or logging out.
Product "Buy" links lead to the retailer's shop through the Awin affiliate network and contain a tracking reference so that STILED can earn a commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. When you click through, the retailer and Awin process data (such as cookies on their sites) under their own privacy policies — please review them there. See Awin's policy at awin.com.
Account and profile data are stored in our database hosted by Neon (Postgres) and the application runs on Render. Our database is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt region). Where processing involves providers outside the EU/EEA, it is safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses.
Account, profile and favourites data are kept while your account exists. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete this data. Technical logs are retained by our hosting providers for short periods for security.
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; ask for a copy (portability); restrict or object to certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing is based on it. Email us at stiled.team@gmail.com and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Berlin: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
If STILED's data practices change (for example when new features launch), we will update this policy and adjust the date above.
